Photographs collected by Wayne Young while serving as a messenger with the 12th Armored Division during World War II. Included are images at Campbell, Kentucky, 1942; sightseeing in Paris, 1945; the 1936 Munich Olympics; and two images of Charles Lindbergh's visit to Madison, Wisconsin in 1927. Also included are images of a Vets for Peace march in Madison, Wisconsin in 1971.

Charles Augustus Lindbergh (February 4, 1902 – August 26, 1974) was an American aviator, military officer, author, inventor, and activist. At the age of 25 in 1927, he went from obscurity as a U.S. Air Mail pilot to instantaneous world fame by winning the Orteig Prize for making a nonstop flight from New York City to Paris.
